✴︎ What is ATC

</aside>

Hello, we are Art & Technology, Sogang University, Seoul.

ATC (Art & Technology Conference) is a space where personal experiences and sensibilities are shared with others. Now in its 15th year, ATC showcases works every year across a wide range of fields — visual design, video, sound, performance, media art, games, and more.

This year, 2026 ATC places special emphasis on the senses and experiences that visitors will encounter. Through sight, hearing, smell, taste, touch, and beyond, experience leads to sensation, and that sensation leads to further experience.

For 2026 ATC, we are recruiting projects that newly interpret and convey a variety of senses. We hope that both artists and visitors will feel and experience freely within this space, expanding ATC together through their own unique recipes.

✴︎ Topic for This Year

2026 ATC will be held under the title 《 Do Not Change the Recipe * 》. We hope that both the artists shaping the exhibition and the visitors experiencing it will feel and explore freely here, forming their own unique tastes.

**Do Not Change the Recipe ***

Following a recipe means experiencing a taste and a sensation someone else has already designed.

If you measure exactly and follow the steps in order, you're guaranteed a certain feeling. In this way, we have long gone through things simply by following what someone else had already decided. The products completed by chasing after fixed, ready-made recipes became part of who we are. And we came to think of that accumulated, uniform feeling, simply, as our own taste.

But can something that piled up unintentionally really be called our own taste? Until now, we have only followed recipes without truly thinking deeply about them. A borrowed taste cannot be expressed through our own unique language. The contradiction — that even though it forms who we are, we never truly arrived at it ourselves — gradually dulls our thinking. Now is the moment we need not a perfect recipe, but our own recipe. Even if we cannot imagine the result, even if we fail, every step of that process will become part of a process of recovery.

2026 ATC focuses on one's own senses, experiences, and tastes. Every artist at ATC creates based on their own unique recipe. Gathered here, in a space shaped by people and context, visitors are free to sense and interpret each work as they wish. Neither creation nor appreciation needs to follow an already-designed, convenient recipe.

What comes after "Do Not Change the Recipe" is left undecided. The *(asterisk) is to be filled in by artists and visitors themselves. Here, you are always free to create your own new recipe — and along the way, you may discover yet another sense, another taste. We hope that everyone who joins this exhibition can rediscover the memory of expanding their world like a child. Pure, joyful, and fun!
